Homemade Halloween Lights
This one is almost completely free. Grab some small jars and paint them in colors of black, white and orange. Draw some different Halloween shapes on them, after they have dried you insert a tea light candle in each jar. Place the Halloween candles on a black tray, insert mini pumpkins, maple berries and leaves, etc.
If you have one at home you can use this or you can get a cheap one at any place that sells Halloween decorations. Paint the candelabra with black paint. Add the orange taper candles and hang cobwebs on the candelabra for a spooky effect!
If you already have one or more, fill a glass jar with small plastic or ceramic pumpkins; alternate pumpkins with maple berries and leaves.
If you still have a pointy black hat from last year you can make great use of it this year by applying Halloween items such as fake hands, spiders, cobwebs or other spooky items and pin it to the front door.
Any kind of wicker basket will be needed for this one, fill it was some fall leaves, add cobwebs, mini pumpkins, spiders, basically anything you want.
To make these spiders, you need an empty egg carton.
First cut all the egg cups out and paint them black.Paint on eyes with some orange paint.
Make four small holes on each side of the spiders.
Insert a black )or any color you want) pipe cleaner in each hole and stick or glue them to the spider. Give the shape you want to the pipe cleaners and your done!
Paper Plate Ghost
For this you will need a paper plate, white and black construction paper,
Glue stick, Scissors, White crepe paper streamers (or you can use white construction paper), and Tape.
Have kids decorate the face of the ghost on the paper plate with crayons or markers, or for the older kids they can use the black construction paper to cut out the mouth and eyes of the ghost. If you use crepe paper, glue about 6 streams of it to the back of the paper plate, (or if you use construction paper, you can cut strips out and glue them on the back), make arms out of the white construction paper and glue them to the back. Hang him where ever you want.
There ya go, simple and easy Halloween decorations! Have fun and Happy Halloween!!
